What will I say without anyone to say to?
What can I have without offering anything?
Seeing you by my side I understand...

That in this meeting there is no longer the 'I'
There is now the 'we'
Sharing what is no longer mine

How can I be, if I am not without you
The father, the son, and the spirit showed
That together we are one in one direction
This union gives us meaning

And in this meeting there is no longer the 'I'
There is now the 'we'
Sharing what is no longer...

And if you leave, take a piece of me
And plant it in your garden
For what left me
Transformed me and brought us closer

One knot, two knots
I, plus one or more, a being simply
The poetic 'I' of the true meeting
Knot, in the plural, we
If the knot is in the throat and one of us anxious
The other calm, erudite, has the antidote
And so, successively, alternately
And alternatively, friends
Of knowledge, in leisure, in idleness and in work
Seeking balance, temperate
You give me all of my being
All of my desire to be
All ears, having heard
And moved by its contents
Each individual goes and eagerly says...
Count on me!
