The Doll
Leaving the ball and the shuttlecock
That they were playing with just a moment ago
Because of a doll
Two girls were fighting
The first one said: It's mine!
It's mine! The other shouted
And neither could contain themselves
Nor let go of the doll
The one who suffered the most (poor thing!)
Was the doll. It already had
All its clothes torn
And its little face wrinkled
They pulled so hard on it
That the poor thing tore in half
Losing the yellow stuffing
That filled it
And, after so much effort
Returning to the ball and the shuttlecock
Both, because of the fight
Were left without the doll
