Don't think I'm a pumpkin
That I'm so dumb
If I loved you
It was just for fun
We lasted two years
Like sweet potatoes
But during that time
I was as smooth as a mango
I was honest with you
I didn't mess around
I'd get jealous

We had love
With all the small details
I would send a banana
To make you forget me
You thought I was a pumpkin

With all the annatto
Like a fruit eater
And I, a squash
Sat on the potato
Because I imagined
You were coming angry
With you, my dear
I was always a palm heart
Until one day
I peeled the guavas
Being such a cabbage
Everyone desired you
And I imagined
That you were betraying me
Today you're a pineapple
With another avocado
Beware of the mamey
There's trouble there
To that soursop
Who treats you badly
You'll peel
Your corn teeth
