El Amor De Mi Bohío
Omara Portuondo
The Love of My Bohío
Silver valley of the moon
Path of my loves
I want to sing to the flowers
the song of my mountain girl.
My life is a beautiful Guajira
the most beautiful little thing, brunette.
It's all love, what reigns in my bohío
where the stillness of the river dreams.
And as the dawn breaks with its beautiful colors
it embellishes with charms my nest of loves,
and upon waking my beautiful Guajira
I leave a kiss on her beloved little mouth.
Once again the sun reminds me
that the day
in its full splendor calls
then I see in the distance the bohío
and a little white hand that says goodbye to me.
