EVERBLUE

EVERBLUE
The sighs exhaled into the whitening sky
Are colorless and transparent, as if empty
Turning the pages changes the scenery like a novel
Even flipping the calendar won't change me
Rubbing my eyes in the crowded train
I feel like an extra in someone's life
All I wanted was a reason to live in the present
How close did I get to the future I imagined?
My life, someday it will be colorful
Like colorless rain eventually drawing a rainbow
My life, what color is the end roll?
Even tears are layered to paint the canvas
Blue wishes, red pain of setbacks
The mixed colors are like scabs
I'm in a dream forgetting even to blink
So deep that I won't wake up no matter how many dawns
My life, not hiding even the scars
It's okay to let the anxiety tighten my chest
My life, a genius that will never be
So I paint my canvas with my true self
What kind of me do I want to be?
How do I want to live?
Dropping questions onto the palette, searching for my colors
There are no answers in ideals or delusions
I'll paint this feeling that runs through my body now
My life, someday it will be colorful
Like colorless rain eventually drawing a rainbow
My life, what color is the end roll?
Even tears are layered to paint the canvas
