Yellow House
I still remember that house where I was born
Where I lived with my siblings and my parents
I received many pieces of advice from Mom
Dad helped me there too much
That house was yellow, I still remember
When December arrived
Dad would renovate it
And then invite our people
To spend New Year's at our yellow house
I had the desire to leave my homeland
With the intention of knowing another country
Dad tearfully gave me his holy permission
Saying, 'May God make you very happy'
I received the blessing from my parents and embraced
My siblings, then cried
Leaning on the window
Then I left for a different land
Never saw my people again
From our yellow house
I had the desire to return to my place
To live in the same house where I lived
This longing invites me to return
To the same land where I was born and raised
I can no longer live in that house
Since my siblings and my parents
Are no longer its owners
How I wish for a piece of that land
To build my little ranch
Next to the yellow house
I can no longer live in that house
Since my siblings and my parents
Are no longer its owners
How I wish for a piece of that land
To build my little ranch
Next to the yellow house
