El Retrato de Mi Madre
Orbin Lopez, El Afortunado Del Pueblo
The Portrait of My Mother
The portrait of my mother
I have it on an altar
Because I know very well that no one
Can take her place
I keep it very present
When my mother died
From the day of her death
For me everything ended
Those who have their mother
Should thank God
Without them, one is nobody
It's a terrible suffering
She gave me many pieces of advice
I didn't want to take them
Everything in the world ends
Now I'm left only to cry
She was my only comfort
She was my only hope
But I know that from heaven
She will give me her blessing
