O Vagabundo e a Dama
Oriente
The Vagabond and the Lady
He arrived from the track, saw the bed and went to nap
She woke up, opened the window, and saw the sun rising over the sea
He opened the fridge, again bread with bologna
She ate croissant, with ovomaltine and nutella
She's on a diet
He's craving at the gas station
He's in freestyle circles
She's watching the eight o'clock soap opera
He's picking up clothes from the basket to go out
She's in Victoria's Secret, strawberry with whipped cream
She was into Absolut
He was into cachaça
She was all about health
And he was all about smoke
He gets ready in a minute
And she spends hours in front of the mirror
He with red eyes
She with red nails
She's in her friend's car
He's on the bus
She's going to the circus
And he's going to the foundry
He's drinking beer standing in front of the snack bar
She walks by with a glass of ice and Redbull in hand
He introduced himself
She smiled
He got close to her ear
She fell
He smooth-talking
She with indescribable beauty
And so begins
The story
Of an impossible love
She wants to experience life and he wants to see the world
The lady and the vagabond
She's stuck in the condo and he's free in the world
The lady and the vagabond
She's busy with her schedule, he's living every second
The lady and the vagabond
The lady and the vagabond
After all
All ladies are into vagabonds
Circus or foundry? Where are we going now?
Nowhere, it's cool, let's stay out here
Now that I'm with you, here's the deal
There's a store nearby where beer is one twenty
They passed by a party and decided to go there
There was a show by Oriente and it was ten bucks to get in
He reached into his pocket to count his change
She said: No need, let me pay
They enjoyed a punk night, quickly connected
They arrived hugging and stayed together
She had goosebumps, he had scratched back
They returned together to Nikit watching the sunrise on the ferry
They arrived at the terminal, the night was ending
It was hard to say goodbye, but she gave him her number
The next day, he woke up wanting to call
She received the call
From Claro, collect call
They arranged to go to the beach, he went by camel
She brought a tent, beach towel, and hair cream
He arrived cool, without making any effort
Except for the shorts and the magnifying glass, he only had a buck in his pocket
They enjoyed each other more than before, it was like a perfect day
She lay down to sunbathe, and he went for a dive
The sea was rough and she wanted to swim
He reached out to her
To help her get in
She was only thinking about him, fantasizing about soap operas
He was dizzy from the waves because he only thought about her
They agreed to have lunch, he suggested a bakery
She said she wouldn't go, that a restaurant would do
So she introduced him to the famous Outback
Paid for the whole lunch with her checkbook
He thought about Italian food and cashew juice
She wanted endless Coke and ribs with barbecue
He arrived home, the phone rang, who was it?
She calling to see if he had arrived safely
She dealt with facts, he dealt with luck
And the impossible love just kept getting stronger
She wants to experience life and he wants to see the world
The lady and the vagabond
The lady and the vagabond
She's stuck in the condo and he's free in the world
The lady and the vagabond
The lady and the vagabond
She's busy with her schedule, he's living every second
The lady and the vagabond
The lady and the vagabond
After all
All ladies are into vagabonds
Every day he picked her up in front of the prep school
And always got excited when she wore shorts
They went to his place, empty during the day
Censorship doesn't allow to say what happened
Then he smokes a cigarette and she gives him a hug
He couldn't believe she was still
Oh, the vagabond was caught
Who would have thought, he was really in love
Then one day she calls, and he asks: Where to?
She arranges to meet at a restaurant to introduce him to her father
He put on a belt and a dress shirt
Arrived there with her smiling and her father with a stern face
He started asking what he wanted from life
He wanted a lifetime and the father didn't understand
He asked about college and what he did
He answered: I'm an MC; and the father looked at him ironically
He left knowing that he hadn't made a good impression
After that, the soap opera began and all the drama
Her father came full of lies and prohibitions
And to see her after that became a mission every day
And even today, sometimes in the wee hours in her room
You can hear the sound of a pebble on the window
When she opens it and looks down, she smiles deeply
Guess who's visiting, the lady's vagabond
