Flama de Ángel
Fernando Ortega
Angel's Flame
Didn't know a sunset could be sad,
empty pain in my soul.
In this clear hour, I say your name,
the world of light surpasses us.
Even the mountains trembling in their places,
know that you're gone;
glorious vast and calm sky
and I miss you once again.
To the heights, God, lift me up;
the hills and mountains of the south
are burning in their brightness;
angel's flame, blue night.
There are melodies I'd like to make for you,
songs full of love;
longings and promises disappear
every time the sun sets.
Didn't know a sunset would hurt me;
so many mixed longings;
I'd give years of my life to have you here
and not lose you again.
To the heights, God, lift me up;
the hills and mountains of the south;
flight of angels in the wind
passes in the blue night.
Help me remember
the hills burning in the light;
may my heart reach you,
I want to be with you still.
