I was a famous bagpiper from the Vacaria bands,
the dances I played at went on until daybreak,
but I had a flaw, when I played I fell asleep, snoring on top of the bagpipe that could be heard from afar.

Because of this habit, I stopped being a player,
they gave me the nickname of snoring bagpiper.

I was called to play at a big barbecue, in a very good shade, under a ramada,
I thought what a good place to take a nap, I fell asleep, snoring loudly.

Once at the end of a dance, drowsiness invaded me,
I started to doze off and my eyelid fell,
the dance ended and the hall was empty,
I was sleeping in the room, snoring like a howler monkey.
