Jesus is the friend I seek
A safe haven in times of war
Jesus is my companion
My God, my shield
My eternal rock

He shows up when I need him most
When I'm down, he brings my smile back
He’s the start, the middle, and the end
He means everything to me

Jesus is the rain
That cools my hot summer days
In the cold, he’s like that blanket
That warms my early mornings
Jesus is the river
Whose currents quench my thirst
In my fatigue, he’s like a net

That lets me rest easy
And travel with him
