Bugio da serra
Os Mirins
Mountain Bugio
(I'm going back to my homeland
I'm going up the mountain now
Doing the things I always did
Going back there and being happy)
I'll fix my old bombacha
That's been stored since I left
My boots, my handkerchief, and the barbicacho hat
And dress up proudly
I want to leave early on horseback
Round up the cows, milk them, and make cheese
Fill my soul with dew and pure air
And see the fields that I haven't seen in a long time
I'll close some calves in the pen
Slowly train some lasso shots
Because city life took away this pleasure from me
I need to train my arm
I'll go to the bush to start a fire with some branches
To eat a roasted pine nut
And drink all the longing I felt
And get drunk on joy and emotion
