I was born with the gift of playing and singing the beauties of the countryside that Rio Grande has

I'm not the best and I'm not the worst, with the harmonica in hand I defend myself well

In my travels, from the border mountains, I embellish the ranchera, the chote and the vaneirão

The song I play and the touch I sing is the soul of the mountains with the smell of the earth

I dreamed of being a gaiteiro from the high countryside, until one day, I recorded a record

I left my land from the top of the mountain and in the capital I found the ideal

I am always who I was and I am who I am, the one who encouraged me, a friend is here

I want to embrace the colleagues I have, from nothing that I come from they also came

I ask my darling, to understand me, the little time I have available

For living on the road playing and singing, I thank God for this praise

And nowadays it's a joy, to play what I know, without fear or dread

And with equality, making friends, I am truly the serrano singer

I have no enemies and my friends share with me the success I achieve

With the strength of my arm I face the nights and in the early mornings I endure the fatigue

Always smiling, I understand how beautiful it is, to play for the people and sing with them

Anywhere, at night or during the day, those who honor me, I will bring joy
