Corrido de Camelia
Oscar Ovidio
Camelia's Ballad
In the year of seventy-seven
Testimony was written
The conversion of a lady
Who got involved in the mafia
Camelia, that's what the drug dealers and police called her
She was the terror of men
Of all who knew her
She made her own justice
For a plot she lived in
There were witnesses everywhere when she lived without Christ
But God changed her life
When she least expected it
Today she preaches about Jesus Christ
Wherever she goes
She's no longer the Camelia who trafficked in the world
By turning her back on the world
And the things it offered
The devil began to attack her
Because he no longer served her
More than once they accused her of things she shouldn't have done
For these same reasons
They took her to jail
She never lost faith
That God was by her side
She was only there for three days
Because they couldn't prove anything
It didn't matter what she had done
Or how big the problem was
Let's never forget about Christ
He's the same everywhere
He changes and transforms the lives
Of all who believe in Him.
