I ain't no beggar
I ain't no panhandler
People don't like
Knowing I'm thriving
Because they say the Christian
Came to be a beggar.

Hotels and restaurants
Also car agencies
Have turned their backs on me
Just because I'm a Christian
That's why they have the notion
That Christians are poor.

Working for Christ
I never lack anything
At least I have the pleasure
Of not working for anyone
If they see me spending cash
They know who I work for.

Poverty isn't extreme
That's for sure
Just trust my Christ
And you'll get out of poverty
This is for the Christians
Who confess misery.
