The Basque keeps us alive
and must live.

The capital goes up sharp
and Lapurdi is always pale,
the world is full of wrinkles,
if we don't conform
what a mortal sin!

Ours is not a normal way of life
a stone and shovel to work the land,
in exchange for work, we receive the real.
It truly is miserable
the Basque people's daily life.

One cannot live like this in the world,
everything goes up in markets,
home and soup completely clear,
the oil of crises
is not a formal dessert.

A loyal worker and farmer,
yours is not a liberal income.
Riches are thrown on you
like small rotten fish,
there they leave their mark.

The owners have a strong conscience,
they have trampled on our land,
but Lapurdi is not so servile;
the dirt is clean
that is the main thing.
