Truths & Lies
Lies that flow in your gaze
Truths so hard to accept
Humans will always make mistakes
Your eyes that insist on closing
Truths and lies haunting
Which of them will your hands hold?
Which one will it be?
Our mind is the junction of feelings and reason
And we give it the freedom to judge what is real or not
And it's dangerous
Because sometimes emotions so true
Also become the most deceitful
And it gives relief
We cling to something just to have a reason to be alive
If only satisfying the mind is the answer
Do we control it or does it control us?
Because it listens to us when no one is listening
If the world is tough, it is your shelter
I tell you
Never tell it your secrets
Because even though it brings peace, it is your worst enemy
I know there are voices inside you and they terrify you
But never listen to them, they tell lies
Change is not an easy and passing process
Before changing the world, change yourself
Lies that flow in your gaze
Truths so hard to accept
Humans will always make mistakes
Your eyes that insist on closing
Truths and lies haunting
Which of them will your hands hold?
Which one will it be?
If actions speak louder, why are you silent?
If the eyes close, the mind opens to your worst thoughts
Obsessive, for a past that is not forgotten
We waste time complaining about lost time
Thinking too much generates fear
The worst regret is that of never having done
We are in reruns
Even if the wound heals
We still have to live with all the scars
Brooding over all your mistakes
No matter how much you clean your hands
The blood will still remain the same
So accept them, it's not too late
They may not be your friends
But they build your character
Perfection is nonexistent, so don't seek it
Our mistake is to seek in relationships something to heal us
Fear
Never reflect on other people
The trust you should have in yourself
Lies that flow in your gaze
Truths so hard to accept
Humans will always make mistakes
Your eyes that insist on closing
Truths and lies haunting
Which of them will your hands hold?
Which one will it be?
Yeah, I know you've been too hard on yourself
Your hell in the war against your own peace
Humans see themselves as incapable
Instead of looking forward, most only look back
The world is a combination of truth and lies
It's up to us to choose, which one dominates you?
In the end, know that
Anyone can take your life
But never what you believe
We only see value when it disappears
Be who you are, not who you pretend to be
Appearances are important, they keep you standing
Until the point where you no longer know who you are
If you feel sad, then you self-deprive
The cure for your pain is not found in your lies
Excessive thoughts erase the present
In this endless war against your own mind
Lies that flow in your gaze
Truths so hard to accept
Humans will always make mistakes
Your eyes that insist on closing
Truths and lies haunting
Which of them will your hands hold?
Which one will it be?
