Querência Amada
Oswaldir e Carlos Magrão
Beloved Homeland
Whoever wants to know who I am
Look at the blue sky
And shout along with me
Long live Rio Grande do Sul
The handkerchief identifies me
Where I come from
From the province of São Pedro
Patron of the beloved homeland
Oh my Rio Grande of a thousand charms
Ready for anything for Brazil
Beloved homeland of vineyards
From grapes comes wine
From the people comes affection
Kindness is never too much
Birthplace of Flores da Cunha
And Borges de Medeiros
Land of Getúlio Vargas
Brazilian president
I am from the same source
May God grant me health
So I can see for many years
The blue sky of Rio Grande
I love you so much, Gaúcho land
I give myself in luxury to die for you
Beloved homeland, plain and mountain
From the arms that pull me
From the beautiful Gaúcha woman
Beauty of my land
My heart is small
Because God made me this way
Rio Grande is much bigger
But fits inside me
I am from the younger generation
A very manly and handsome poet
In my veins flows
The heroic blood of Farrapos
God is a Gaúcho with spurs and lasso
He was a Maragato or a Chimango
Beloved homeland, my sky of indigo
This giant Rio Grande
Another shining star
In the Brazilian flag
