Lago Verde Azul
Oswaldir e Carlos Magrão
Green Blue Lake
The fear of walking alone, hearing voices and screams
And even from the boat a whistle in your imagination
Wide-eyed, the scared kid
Looking at that rough sea
Sometimes sweet, sometimes salty, in a summer storm
Shirtless at the edge, pants rolled up
He set off on the road when the sand splashed him
He shivered with that cold air that the pond and the river
And the waters he saw didn't provoke him
Coconut tree and fig tree from the bushes
And the beautiful Lagoa dos Patos, oh true treasure
Green and Blue Lake that in South America
God placed as a watering hole
Coconut tree and fig tree from the bushes
And the beautiful Lagoa dos Patos, oh true treasure
Green and Blue Lake that in South America
God placed as a watering hole
Times when there was still the dance of the mullet
When the dolphin came with seagulls in a flock
And among other animals, in the midst of the rushes
Wild ducks appeared that are no longer seen today
This symbol of the water
On a full moon night, we sat on the sand
To see if we could hear the mermaid singing among the waves
And today I go back there, to the place where I lived
Where I walked as a kid, I look at the lagoon in you
And I see myself crying
Coconut tree and fig tree from the bushes
And the beautiful Lagoa dos Patos, oh true treasure
Green and Blue Lake that in South America
God placed as a watering hole
Coconut tree and fig tree from the bushes
And the beautiful Lagoa dos Patos, oh true treasure
Green and Blue Lake that in South America
God placed as a watering hole
