Lua e Flor
Oswaldo Montenegro
Moon and Flower
I loved
Like I loved some singer
From any cliché
From a dive, from moon and flower
I dreamed like the ugly girl
In the window
Like a letter
That’s signed in vain
I loved
Like I loved a dreamer
Not knowing why
And I loved having in my heart
The airy certainty of poetry
That the day, doesn’t dawn
I loved
Like I loved a fisherman
Who’s more enchanted
By the net than by the sea
I loved, like I never could
If I knew how to tell you
I loved
Like I loved some singer
From any cliché
From a dive, from moon and flower
I dreamed like the ugly girl
In the window
Like a letter
That’s signed in vain
I loved
Like I loved a fisherman
Who’s more enchanted
By the net than by the sea
I loved like I never could
If I knew how to tell you
