Good Jesus walked along the road
On his long journey through the world
Night had fallen when came
To prostrate himself at his feet a vagabond

Poor beggar who is despised
Tell me what you want from me and I will do it for you
May you be compassionate to my wounds
And remove all the sores from my body

Have mercy on my miserable life
You who take good along the way
Come touch me with your admirable hands
Turning my thorns into beautiful roses
