Seventeen's Map

Seventeen's Map
Listening to the raspy blues of seventeen
Dreamy me lets out a deep sigh
There’s not much good coming my way
I’m searching for a fleeting smile, unaware of the fatigue
On the street corner, we’re making a ruckus
In our stubborn hearts and dark eyes, there’s a lonely shadow
If we spill our words in fights or pick-up lines, we’re all the same
With restless feelings, let’s keep dancing, getting all sweaty
With a cigarette in my mouth, it’s the Seventeen's Map
On the corner, a girl’s selling herself
Doing whatever it takes, staying sharp
But that girl who lost her dreams and toys with love
Has forgotten that she needs to keep her heart shining
Little by little, I’m starting to understand various meanings
But it’s never anything I learned in class
Even if I’m bound by the nagging sounds of a loose life
I won’t forget my beautiful dreams
As I push through the crowd, walking along the wall
I think I have to live strongly, from corner to corner
A cold wind blows through my tiny heart
Looking back from the overpass, the scorching sunset
Now lights up everything happening on my heart’s map
It’s the Seventeen's Map
In the train, feeling the backs of people pushing
I sense countless dramas unfolding
Feeling the determination in my parents’ backs
Lately, I’ve shed a tear
Halfway to adulthood, it’s the Seventeen's Map
I start to wonder what I’m living for
I don’t reach out for you in this city
No matter how I end up living
I won’t throw away myself
As I push through the crowd, walking along the wall
Because this city has its entanglements
I think I have to live strongly
A cold wind blows through my tiny heart
Looking back from the overpass, the scorching sunset
Now lights up everything happening on my heart’s map
It’s the Seventeen's Map
