Of the pleasures that exist in the world
There is none that truly satisfies
The pleasures of the world destroy
Corrupt the soul and bring us death
And those who seek the pleasures of the world
Usually prefer to suffer
For with each pleasure they consume
Life foams away like a fading flower
How delicious, my God
How delicious, Lord
Is to enjoy your peace
Is to feel your love
Wonderful Jesus
How endless delight
Is the peace that You have given me
But there is joy in Christ
And supreme glorification
And those who seek the glory of Christ
Smile and are always happy
For the life that reigns in the believer
Is the source that springs from heaven
And this life is very different
From that which exists in the cruel world
