Laberinto

Labyrinth
When I am a taxi driver
the sea is always near.
When I am a pianist
I caress the notes of your heart.
When I am a painter,
I paint your soul with almond trees.
When I am a cook
your mouth tastes like angel hair.
And when I am myself,
I give you the keys to my labyrinth.
When I am a bishop,
your kisses are cathedrals.
When I am a thief,
I steal all your sorrows.
When I am a pilot
I see you in every cloud.
When I am a beggar
I shine with greed at the sight of you.
And when I am myself,
I give you the keys to my labyrinth.
When I am a builder,
I build you a stilt house.
When I am a teacher
I approve of your behavior.
When I am a sailor
I give you the winds.
And when I am a judge
I declare you innocent.
And when I am myself,
I give you the keys to my labyrinth.
