A Veces Cuando El Sol
Pablo Milanés
Sometimes When The Sun
Sometimes when the sun takes flight
I stir up hope and look inside
And between my heart and longing
Only a puddle of rain dozes.
Behind the gaze jumps a dream
That unintentionally stirs in the throat
A blind race to your neck
A stumble that breaks the balance.
There will be no reason to keep the balance
When absence weeps in the senses
When loneliness is a tall pine
Growing in a garden of white lilies.
There will be nothing but to scream against the silence
When the drizzle invades my chest
And even if your light is no longer the same
And I remain standing where I still wait for you.
I stir up hope and look inside
When sorrow tightens the throat
Behind the gaze jumps a dream
And even if it rains in the street, the wind sings.
Sometimes when the sea doesn't reach us
And only dew wets the ground
A fast bird travels the sky
And the distance grows with time.
