Family Prayer
May no family begin suddenly
May no family end due to lack of love
May the couple be one for each other in body and mind
And may nothing in the world separate a dreaming couple
May no family take shelter under a bridge
May no one interfere in the home and life of the two
May no one force them to live without any horizon
May they live from yesterday, today, and in function of a tomorrow
May the family begin and end knowing where it's going
And may the man carry on his shoulders the grace of a father
May the woman be a sky of tenderness, comfort, and warmth
And may the children know the strength that springs from love
Bless, Lord, the families! Amen!
Bless, Lord, mine too
May husband and wife have the strength to love without measure
May no one go to sleep without asking for or giving forgiveness
May the children learn in the lap, the meaning of life
May the family celebrate the sharing of embrace and bread
May husband and wife not betray each other, nor betray their children
May jealousy not kill the certainty of love between the two
May in their firmament the star that shines the brightest
Be the firm hope of a heaven here and beyond
May the family begin and end knowing where it's going
