Sequência Corpus Christ

Behold the bread that the angels eat
Transformed into bread for man
Only the children consume it
It will not be cast to the dogs!

In prefigured signs
By Abraham was sacrificed
The lamb was given to the fathers
In the desert was manna

Good shepherd, true bread
Mercy, oh Jesus mercy
Preserve us in unity
Carry us to the Father!

Giving food to mortals
You also give the bread of life
May the family thus nourished
One day be reunited
With the guests up in heaven!
