A Fallen Leaf
A leaf that fell after it dried up,
Taught me that God cares about the lives he created.
The leaf that fell and the wind carried away
Taught me that even in death, it fulfilled its destiny.
It ended with other leaves, fertilizing that ground.
And because of those leaves, here is the fruit in my hands.
A friend who left, left behind longing.
Taught me with his smile a lesson that touched me.
Long before leaving carried by faith
