Lights that shine together
Candles that burn together
On the altar of hope
Tracks that run together
On the same ties
And end up in the same place
Birds that fly in flocks
Verses that follow verses
In the rhymes of life
Boats that sail the seas
Even when apart, they know the port
Where they’ll meet again
That’s how the friends life gave me are
My friends and my girlfriends and me!
People who dream together, people who play and fight
And get mad and forgive
A strong feeling, stronger than death
Makes us friends in laughter and pain
Lives that flow together, rivers that don’t merge
But run parallel, birds that fly together
And know that one day, by the force of life, they won’t
