Mini Sermão

Even today at dusk
without much fuss, it is worth saying
that I will preach my little sermon
along the way I walk.
If anyone wants to listen to my song,
find a corner to settle in,
for I will pass by at dusk,
without much fuss, humming.

It is worth saying that I am very hoarse
from so much preaching I do,
prepare a microphone for me
and a guitar to accompany me.
My message will be brief,
but very serene I will remind
that there is still time for hope
and that everything reaches those who know how to love.

I will explain why I sometimes sing,
wanting to see my brother happy,
why I believe so much
in the youth of my country.
And I will shout that no matter how difficult
or impossible to believe
it is more difficult and impossible
to live life without hope.

I will play with my young people
who are moved to hear me speak
and on the steps of a church
I will sit among them.
And I will tell them about the Nazarene
who so serenely taught peace
and upon hearing my younger brothers
I will leave without looking back.

I am sure that the seed
that I carelessly drop
will find soil to die
to then be reborn and then bloom.
And when it finally becomes fruit
that I will give to those who do not have it
I will only ask for its seed
so I can plant it again, amen.
