La Fuerza De La Vida
Paolo Vallesi
The Force of Life
Until when we go far away
out of cowardice or spite,
for an inconsolable love,
when time passes at home without living it
and you cry because you don't know why
a huge force is within ourselves,
the simplicity of the simple,
where struggles are useless,
it's stronger than an incomprehensible death,
it's overcoming that nostalgia that doesn't leave you.
You have to put your fingers on your wound
and then you will feel the force of life,
which will lead you, I know,
love, you will see,
to the exit you don't see today.
When the silences recommend you
and the heart puts a price on them
with an unbearable rumor
when you sink and can't get up,
and even when hope
you think will be lost.
It's the will that challenges everything,
it's our dignity, the force of life,
that won't ask what eternity is,
even though it knows it's offended,
or sold without mercy.
You have to touch the bottom of your wound
and you will recognize the force of life,
which will lead you, I know,
it won't let you go,
it won't let you, have faith.
Even inside the prison
of this huge hypocrisy,
and in the cold hospitals
of that evil of our days,
a force watches over you,
you will recognize it,
it's the stubborn force within you,
that dreams and doesn't leave you.
Chorus: It's the will
more fragile and infinite,
it's our dignity,
the force of life.
It's our love, the force of life,
that won't ask
what eternity is,
because it will always fight for us,
and won't leave us.
Chorus: You have to touch
the wound of your injury,
and you will recognize
the force of life.
The force within you,
you have to sense it
and it will be there,
the force of life,
which will lead you, I know,
whispering convincingly
how important life is.
