Una Chilena En París
Violeta Parra
A Chilean In Paris
Waltz-musette
I brought my paintings
To the beautiful city of Paris
With great sadness
Oh, my darling!
All my friends came
To the port to accompany me
Each one carried in their hands
All my belongings
And when we arrived
On the dancers of my ship
And you waved a white handkerchief
I smiled!
Finally, I am in Paris!
I walked near the Seine
And on the bridge of the Louvre
My heart cried
I am already at the office
Facing the secretary
And when I heard a bell
I was called
Then, I see before me
The museum's captain
He was very, very kind
Monsieur Farré
Already bothering me with a drawing
And I jumped out the window
That's not true, my friends!
It was the door!
