I want a house
that has balconies,
very long curtains
of crepe silk...
Watching the rich guys
passing by in droves,
to see if any crook
tells me: What's up!...

I want a house
with waxed floors,
that has a little carpet
to walk on;
leather armchairs
all embossed
and a cheeky parrot
that knows how to sing...

I want a bed
with a quilt...
And I want a stove
to warm up...
The servant comes
running in a hurry
and says: Madam!
Look! The Ford is here...
