A mighty fortress is our God
A shield and a stronghold
With His power He defends His own
In struggle and in weakness
Satan tempts us
With persistent fury
With such schemes
And cruel cunning
That have no equal on Earth
Our strength does nothing
We are indeed lost
But our God brings help
And we are protected
Jesus defends us
He who conquered on the cross
The Lord of the highest heavens
And being God as well
Triumphs in battle
If demons unnumbered
Wanted to devour us
They could not scare us
Nor defeat us
The great accuser
Of the servants of the Lord
Is already condemned
He will fall defeated
By just one word
That God will win the fight
We know for sure
And nothing will scare us
With Christ as our defense
If we have to lose
Family, possessions, power
And even if life goes away
Jesus is with us
And will give us His kingdom
