Las Buscadoras
Patty Power
The Seekers
They snatched it from my hands that day
A sad news became a memory
The rumors grew
The lies were abundant
It didn't matter, I just wanted to find you
Now my burden has become my ordeal
The unjust no longer matter the grievances
I just want to find you, that's why I persist
With the oath I made to you that afternoon
Among dogs, rats, vultures, and coyotes
Among sticks already rotten in the woods
Under the unforgiving Sun
I keep searching for the remains of my love
Seekers, seekers, don't tire of searching
For they will finally find the remains of their children
No matter what they say, their fight is not in vain
They are warriors who will never give up
Your room remains empty and desolate
Just as you left it, my son
I keep your shirts in the closet
Hoping you'll come to wear them
Sometimes they shout crazy at me in the street
It doesn't hurt, worry, or distress me
Day by day I am present, dreaming of having you
Even if it's in a grave, I want to see you
The emptiness of my arms disturbs me
I imagine your eyes and your mouth
That laughter that conquered my soul
Are memories I always cry for in bed
Give me peace, tranquility, I beg you
A sign to lead me to your whereabouts
Of my son's remains, please I beg you
For my path is in darkness today
I won't rest until I finally find you
Today I swear before God I won't crumble
For you will always be the reason for my life
Even if the ungrateful try to stop me
