Sad, heavy with emotion
Or restless when a kiss no longer burns
In the inevitable twist of passion
Almost always a bitter heart
From someone’s disregard
Is touched by the strings of a guitar
That’s how a samba comes to be
When a poet finds himself
Alone in some corner of his world
Chords resonate, images appear
Words sound out, sentences form
Sorrow, everything fades with time
Tears are the precious stones of illusion
When, the light of creation sparks in thought
He tenderly handles the pain
And pushes away the loneliness
