Um dos Tais ( Um Povo Forte )

Behold, a strong people arises,
Clothed with power;
And fears not even death,
Who belongs to it;
And will have sublime luck,
For with Christ to heaven it goes,
Can you also say,
"I am one of those"?

Can you also say, "I am one of those"?

In the upper room gathered,
They sought the power then,
United by God's love
To cry out in prayer;
Behold, a wind descends
And the fire from heaven falls;
Can you also say,
"I am one of those"?

This fearless people,
(They are the disciples of Jesus)
Persecuted by the world,
For carrying their cross.
And now clothed
With power they go out into the world;
Can you also say,
"I am one of those"?

Oh, do not be careless
To seek the gift of God,
A gift that will make you happy,
It will give you visions of heaven.
And wonderful Jesus
Proclaiming to others you will go,
Then you can say,
"I am one of those".
