Milagres
Pe. Fábio de Melo
Miracles
Who lives looking for miracles
Reasons to believe
And puts their hope in the word
Of those who claim to know the future to see
Have you forgotten that faith is a path
That eyes cannot see
And God is present, even when
The miracle doesn't happen
I remember Jesus
The way he looked at sinners
And I am surprised to see him
So fragile asking them for some favors
Let me stay at your house...
Give me some of this water...
Come up with me...
See if you don't fall asleep now
I need a friend here
I follow the steps of this man
So human, so divine, rare heart
Who on the cross asked for help
When the pain became acute
Pain of loneliness
And cried when he saw his friend leave
And smiled when he made him return from death
Who makes holiness a vanity
Possibly has already forgotten
That many prostitutes precede us
At the entrance to the Kingdom of Heaven
I remember Jesus
The way he looked at sinners
And I am surprised to see him
So fragile asking them for some favors
