The wheat, once grown, is soon harvested
And will become bread
In the hands of the mother woman, it is sacrificed
Humbly surrendering to fermentation
A lesson of love teaches the wheat with its gesture of donation
I also want to be selfless
To become bread in the hands of my Lord

Sacred wheat sacrificed, then ground into flour and finally
bread
Sacred wheat offered, which will become the body of
the Lord

The grape, without a whimper, surrenders
To the miracle of transformation
Under the feet of the suffering farmer
It will become wine of noble taste
A lesson of love teaches the grape with its gesture of offering

Sacred fruit of the vine that was once a flower and
changed
Sacred wine offered, which will become the blood of
the Lord
