In His Time
The afternoon was leaving and it began to rain among shadows
A heart prayed to God a little more than yesterday
Lord, I know you love me and you know I have been faithful, do not delay in responding
But in God you have to wait for His time in what you want to see
Time rushed a clock hanging on the wall
Perhaps his faith weakened, conviction of what is not seen
But he cried out to his God to grant his request with his love and power
But in God you have to wait for His time in what you want to see
He knelt before God every dawn
And from his eyes came the sorrow wetting the pillow
Because in the Bible he had read that God answered
Ask and it will be given to you
He continued to believe that one day he would have those things he desired so much
Because in His promises, if you trust, He will not fail you
Because God granted what he asked for even when she least expected it
And she understood that God works in His time and His will
He knelt before God every dawn
