Rio Grande
Perota Chingo
Rio Grande
I hope you remember me
I'm just one of the many who leave
a grateful traveler of the shelter of the shelter
you gave me that time
almost without asking me anything, you showed me your gaze
from a different world
your step is so serene
it's your peace and simplicity
with which you teach to love you
I'm closing my eyes
longing to see you again
I'm closing my eyes
and it seems to see you again
hidden in the ravine
your chapel gives you away
and a small town suddenly
I thank your mountains
your smiles your mornings
and the Rio Grande
you painted my pupils
with the colors of life
and the humility of your people and only when the river
lets the one who walks pass to reach
you
I'm closing my eyes longing to see you again
I'm closing my eyes and it seems to see you again
I'm closing my eyes longing to see you again
I'm closing my eyes and it seems to see you again..
again..
again..
I hope you remember me
I'm just one of the many who leave.
