Alto y Sublime

I can't understand that being God
He had compassion and looked at me
As small as I am, sublime and high God
I was unworthy in His presence

He did not consider my faults
He knocked on the door of my heart
Being so holy

God, He is high and sublime
He who dwells in eternity
Whose name is holy
God dwells on high

And in incomparable holiness is His majesty
But in a human being He can dwell
When humbled before His altar
Broken heart turns into His throne
He comes to dwell

Heaven is the throne of my God
The earth the footstool of His feet
And being so high and sublime my Lord
My small heart is His throne
