Bread of Equality
If they silence the voice of the prophets
The stones will speak
If they close a few paths
A thousand trails will be born
The truth does not last long
In these too narrow margins
God created the infinite
For life to always be more, always more
Jesus is this bread of equality
We came to commune
With the people's suffering struggle
Who want to have a voice, a turn, a place
To commune is to become a danger
We came to disturb
With faith and unity
Our steps will one day arrive
The Spirit is an incessant wind
That nothing can hold
It blows even in the absurd
That we don't want to see
The truth does not last long
In these too narrow margins
God created the infinite
For life to always be more, always more
Jesus is this bread of equality
We came to commune
With the people's suffering struggle
Who want to have a voice, a turn, a place
To commune is to become a danger
We came to disturb
With faith and unity
Our steps will one day arrive
At the feast banquet of a few
Only the rich sat down
Our God stands by the side of the poor
Gathering what was left
The truth does not last long
In these too narrow margins
God created the infinite
For life to always be more, always more
Jesus is this bread of equality
We came to commune
With the people's suffering struggle
Who want to have a voice, a turn, a place
To commune is to become a danger
We came to disturb
With faith and unity
Our steps will one day arrive
Power has roots in the sand
Time makes it fall
Unity is the rock that the people
Used to build
The truth does not last long
In these too narrow margins
God created the infinite
For life to always be more, always more
Jesus is this bread of equality
We came to commune
With the people's suffering struggle
Who want to have a voice, a turn, a place
To commune is to become a danger
We came to disturb
With faith and unity
Our steps will one day arrive
Every struggle will see its day
Rise from the darkness
We rehearse the feast and joy
Making communion
The truth does not last long
In these too narrow margins
God created the infinite
For life to always be more, always more
Jesus is this bread of equality
We came to commune
With the people's suffering struggle
Who want to have a voice, a turn, a place
To commune is to become a danger
We came to disturb
With faith and unity
Our steps will one day arrive
