Parsifal (Part 1)
Bright is the morning that rises from the East
this forest is yours...
Born wild, pure in spirit
you don’t know what fear is.
Those knights like gods
you’ve never seen them, though
fear doesn’t grow inside.
Crazy at dawn, you want to know
what isn’t in the woods
you’ve discovered your fate
your fate in the name you will have
king of light you will be
run, run, run, run.
They will speak to you of God, of the King
the maidens like flowers you will see on your journey
in a great ancient dream
your new solitary life will push you forward
and a doubt will conquer you.
The enchanted foreign age of her
is not glory or wind but sweet reality
in the tall grass by the river
you’ve given your weapons to the sun and the dew
sacred you will not become
here your path comes to a stop.
