Antes de Gira

Before the Tour
She runs to open the door
in yesterday's dress
and I'll have her arms wrapped around my joy
just to see you again.
I light the lanterns
at the house of dawn.
She's holding the paper, trembling in her hands,
kissing the glass.
We talked for a bit about Rio
and the fields of Santa Fe,
watching and laughing, our coldness disappeared.
We listened to a couple of our records
watched some TV for a while,
and someone outside called us afterward.
It's time to leave now
the train is waiting for us.
