En Solskinnsdag
Postgirobygget
A Sunny Day
I sit here on the mountain and look out over the sea
a sunny day on my vacation
this summer I will surf, water ski, and swim
yes, I think this vacation will be nice
Past me rushes Andersen in his cabin cruiser
with all his friends on board
there are lots of girls there in see-through blouses
that Andersen got to know last year
I peek at girls, I have sunglasses on
so no one really sees where I'm looking
the prettiest of the girls takes off her bra
and turns towards me and says
Tell me
Are you doing well
yes, thank you
I'm better off than most people present
I smile every day
because I'm happy
it's so nice to live, can't you see it
and will you come and search for crabs with me
because crabs are the best thing I know
We sail out in my boat, a white dream
she says she's glad I asked
we find ourselves a islet, it's peaceful and quiet
I say I'm glad I dared
So we sit and enjoy ourselves until the sun goes down
and the moon appears again
we search for crabs until the clock strikes four
satisfied, we head home
she says
Thank you for today
I've had such a good time
it's been so fun to be with you, dear
I look forward to dinner
at two o'clock tomorrow
we've had such a nice time, maybe there's more in store
I set the table with candles and red roses
and open a Veuve Clicquot
Now I'm doing well
and thank you
I'm better off than most people present
I smile every day
because I'm happy
it's so nice to live even though the chair legs are crooked
I set the table with candles and red roses
and wait for her to ring the doorbell
