O Até Ao Fim do Mundo Apaixonado
Prana
To the End of the World in Love
Listen to this story I'm about to tell
It's not all rosy or a lullaby
It's about a young prince heir
Who shocked the whole kingdom
With dark deeds that gave chills
It starts when, by divine will
His wife died giving birth
And as if to escape the pain
The prince found a new love
In a beautiful maid who took his breath away
But the king, heartless, didn’t see
This passion with kind eyes, "my son"
He says: "She comes from another land
And her family longs to have their grip on the throne.
This love must end!"
And after the vows, the young man lied
And in secret, their love blossomed
And the years passed without troubles
Now married and with kids
Happier than ever seen before
On a January night, the maid went out for a stroll
Alone with the moonlight, and suddenly appeared
Some scoundrels in front, those soulless dogs
They came on the king's orders
To steal her life away
And she begged in vain
And knelt, crying out her soul
As the knife was raised
Indifference blocked
She saw blood spill onto the sidewalk
And then she fell asleep
Murmuring "my prince"
The poor young man went mad with grief
Painted in hatred those who loved him
And in fury, he set out to kill his father
Only his mother made him stop
He became king and the first thing to do
Was hunt down the bastards who saw her die
He ripped their hearts out without mercy or forgiveness
While he was having dinner
Unable to forget her and the love he had
He dug her up and crowned her queen
And under penalty of death, forced all the court
To kiss her cold and poor hand!
If one day someone steals your heart
And everything seems too much to bear
Remember that there was, once upon a time
The sad story of Pedro and Inês
That the books forgot to tell.
