Benedictus

Blessed be the Lord
The God of Israel
Who came and redeemed his people
Rich and powerful salvation
Delivered us from the hand of all evil

Great compassion
He showed to our fathers
He did not forget the covenant
To worship free from fear
And to serve in all living

He saved us
Your grace reached us
With love you made us your people
You brought us full forgiveness
For you are blessed God

From on high the Lord
Will come to visit us
The Sun of his love will be born
He will overcome the darkness with his light
He will guide our feet to peace
