Stella splendens
Psalteria
Shining Star
Shining star on the mountain
Like the sun's rays
With miracles enclosed,
Hear the people
All come together
Rejoicing people,
Rich and poor,
Great and small,
They enter
To see with their eyes.
And from there they return
Filled with gratitude.
Princes and magnates
From royal lineage,
Powers of the world
Having obtained pardon
Proclaim their sins
Beating their chests.
Bending their knees they cry out
Here: Hail Mary.
Prelates and barons,
Renowned counts,
All the religious,
And priests,
Soldiers, merchants,
Citizens, sailors,
Townsmen, fishermen,
Are rewarded there.
Peasants, plowmen,
And also notaries,
Lawyers, sculptors,
All carpenters,
Tailors and cobblers,
And also woolworkers,
Artisans and all
Rejoice there.
Queens, countesses,
Illustrious ladies,
Powerful women and servants,
Young girls,
Virgins and elderly
Likewise widows
Ascend this mountain
And the religious ones.
These groups gather
Here to present
Vows, give thanks,
So that they may also give back
Enriching this court,
So all may see,
Adorning with jokes,
They return relieved.
All therefore praying
Both sexes,
Cleansing our minds
Let us devoutly pray
To the glorious Virgin,
Mother of mercy,
In heaven gracious
May we truly feel.
