Marcha da quarta-feira de cinzas
Quarteto em CY
Ash Wednesday's March
Our carnival is over, no one hears songs being sung
No one passes by playing happily
And in the hearts, longing and ashes is all that's left
Through the streets, what you see is people who don't even see each other
Who don't smile, kiss, or hug
And they walk out, dancing and singing love songs
And yet it's necessary to sing
More than ever it's necessary to sing
It's necessary to sing and bring joy to the city
The sadness we have will end someday
Everyone will smile, hope has returned
It's the people dancing, content with happy life singing
Because there are so many blue things, there are such great promises of light
So much love to love that we don't even know
I wish I could live to see and play in other carnivals
With the beauty of the old carnivals
Such beautiful marches
And the people singing their song of peace
